(jd) On Monday night (11.08.), previously unknown perpetrators broke into a kiosk on Königstraße. Using a tool, they forcibly opened a window to gain access to the inside of the store. They then stole a large quantity of tobacco products from the kiosk with a total value in the five-figure range. According to initial investigations, the time of the crime was between 1.55 a.m. and 2.50 a.m. that night. The Herford criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation. The video footage from the surveillance cameras is still being analyzed. Witnesses who noticed anything unusual in the Königstraße area during this time are asked to call 05221/8880.
