The provision of the emergency call app nora, which has been available in the app stores since September 2021, has been temporarily suspended. This was announced by the responsible business and coordination office for the emergency call app system, located in the Ministry of the Interior of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The reason for this is new organizational requirements that make a technical revision necessary. Once the requirements have been implemented, nora will be available again without restrictions. Information on the availability of the emergency call app in the stores will be provided once the development work has been completed.

With the temporary suspension of the download, a new registration is also not possible. However, emergency calls can still be made via applications already installed for registered users.

Citizens who have not yet registered for nora are asked to make emergency calls via 110 or 112 or the free Tess relay service.
