The musical program of the five-day music festival "Parookaville" ended on Monday, 22.07.2024, around 01:00, for the police on site after monitoring the departure traffic around 14:30. From a police perspective, the festival was largely incident-free, with around 80,000 people partying every day.
Nonetheless, the police had to take action in connection with the event for a variety of reasons. A total of 134 event-related operations were carried out as part of the overall operation. In the area of criminal law, a total of four violations of the Narcotics Act, 15 cases of bodily harm and 51 other offenses (theft, insults, threats, damage to property, etc.) were reported to the police. Three offenses against sexual self-determination and six cases in which the suspicion of the use of so-called "knockout drops" must be investigated are currently being processed by the criminal investigation department. In addition to two traffic offenses and one traffic violation, a total of five traffic accidents were reported in connection with the festival. In three of these traffic accidents, the person who caused the accident left the scene without permission, whereby in two cases one person was slightly injured as a result of the accident. In addition, there were 23 requests for assistance on the site with no relevance to traffic or criminal police, 41 orders to leave the scene and five detentions. Time and again, the officers on the site were sought-after contacts for minor queries of any kind, but were also a popular subject for countless photos with visitors. There were many conversations, often about the police service, especially at the festival, but general questions were also asked and gladly answered.
In the night from Friday, 19.07.2024, to Saturday, 20.07.2024, there were sometimes long waiting times and crowds in and in front of the bus shuttle service set up by the organizer when the day visitors left. As a result, a few departing festival visitors developed circulatory problems and had to be treated by doctors or the medical service. For the following day, the organizer took crowd management measures with regard to the departure traffic of the day's visitors and made structural changes in the area of the bus shuttle station so that the departure went without the problems of the previous day.
